Hatfield and Area Activities

ACTIVITIES

There is so much to do around the area...you'd be amazed!

Situated on Lake Arbutus, the Hatfield area has been a quiet little resort area for generations, and it still has the quaint quiet charm, but also offers access to numerous activities for the whole family. If you’re not satisfied with the local options, a short drive in either direction toward Neillsville or Black River Falls offers even more attractions to fill the day.

Boating/Kayaking/ Canoeing/Beaching

Lake Arbutus & Area Beaches

Pleasure boating, waterskiing, jet-skiing, pontooning, the lake has room for it all.  Maybe a kayak or canoe is more your style. Emerald and Buckhorn are smaller, no-wake lakes nearby for a more peaceful paddling experience.

Sometimes just a swim or a relaxing beach blanket and playground for the kids is more in order. Russell Park and West Arbutus Beaches are within walking distance, and its only a short drive or boat ride to the East Arbutus Beach.

Fishing

Lake Arbutus & Black River

Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings and public beaches. Fishing is bountiful and includes chances for Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye and Catfish.
